We are looking for an Aerodynamic Design engineer for the Rotor Performance department, who is dedicated to the development of our future products. The team is responsible for modeling, validation and optimization of the performance of our wind turbines. Furthermore, the team contributes to our future rotor design technologies. The team is a part of the Blades department in Offshore Technology Development and located in our Technology office in Brande. The job is an interesting mix between new product and technology development.
What are my responsibilities? As an Aerodynamic design engineer you will contribute to the performance analysis and design of improvements of our rotors. You carry out aerodynamic/acoustic simulations for analysis of turbine performance as well as perform field and wind tunnel tests.
More specifically:
∂ Performance analysis using measurements and simulations
∂ Perform aerodynamic analysis and validation of new wind turbine blades
∂ Assess/develop new technologies for performance improvement
∂ Turbine performance optimization
∂ Aerodynamic/aero-elastic model development
What do I need to qualify for this job?
∂ You have an engineering degree (MSc/PhD) and industrial experience in aerodynamics
∂ You have a general understanding of wind turbine aerodynamics
∂ You have experience with aerodynamic simulations and validation using among others Computational Fluid Dynamics, Panel methods, BEM models and Wind Tunnel testing
∂ You are result oriented, structured and capable of keeping perspective in a project structured organization
∂ As a person you are inventive, proactive and outgoing
∂ You possess strong communication and English skills
