For our Technology Department we are looking for a skilled and experienced chief engineer to handle our system engineering tasks. Our systems consists of power converters, electrical control and power supply panels as well as medium voltage equipment and grounding, EMC and lightning protection systems for our wind turbines. In addition, the chief engineer is responsible for the complete system performance and system requirements including both turbine and grid performance of our products. The chief engineer is responsible for managing our project requirements and technical system deliverables, as well as taking an active part in the management of interfaces and techncial alignment between the different parts of the wind turbine. The chief engineer is also expected to play a key role in the defintion of future electrical developments and designs for the specific turbine platforms.
What are my responsibilities?
· Technical Management of electrical solutions and system performance e.g. power converters and control panel system performance
· Participating in weekly project meetings in the hardware department
· Driving technical solutions and reviews with internal and external design teams and multiple stakeholders and solution providers
· Ensuring technical requirements are met, and time and quality in the deliveries in our projects are fulfilled
· Task coordination and priorities as well as task execution on system performance level
· Continued development of the design process, design guidelines and design rules
What do I need to qualify for this job?
· You have an education within electrical engineering and minimum 7-10 years of experience within wind turbine product development and project management of complex products with multiple stakeholders and suppliers
· You are a skilled system engineer with deep technical understanding
· An overall electrical understanding including knowledge and experience within electrical system design and wind turbine operation is required
· You are familiar with working in large matrix organizations
· You are a dedicated team player and you thrive in a multi-cultural environment
· You have excellent practical and people management skills, strong communication skills and can interface with numerous parties
· You possess fluency in spoken and written English
