For the Cost and Value Engineering department which is part of the Procurement organization based at our OF office in Brande, Denmark, we are looking for Operational Engineers. As an Operational Engineer you will represent procurement in the development of new turbines from concept phase until the turbine is ready for serial production. You work closely with both our Engineering and Procurement department in order to have new product development projects on time and within budget.  .

Work Assignments

As an Operational Engineer for Procurement you will be responsible for a portfolio of new product development projects. More specifically, your assignments will cover:

• Act as single point of contact for R&D Engineering towards the Strategic Procurement community and secure early involvement of suppliers in close cooperation with Global Commodity Management.
• Arrange or join supplier workshops, design competitions or engineering workshops to pursue an optimal design to cost,
• Give input during the project on product costing, (new) technical solutions, procurement lead-times and sourcing strategies. Ensure proper reporting on project timing and product cost to the Global Procurement Platform Lead.
• Ensure timely sourcing of parts for prototypes by selecting and close follow-up of suppliers in cooperation with commodity teams
• Coordinate and find joint solutions with the R&D workshop and production for a timely assembly of prototypes

Your Profile

You have a degree in Engineering, e.g. a Bachelor of Technology Management and Marine Engineering, or a technical project management background, preferably in combination with practical experience. In addition, you have professional procurement experience, including experience with handling technical specifications and executing engineering and / or procurement projects.

As a person you are assertive, proactive and result-oriented, and you have a structured and hands-on approach to complex tasks. You thrive in an international environment and possess excellent communication and English skills both orally and in writing.
