As Head of Factory Materials Management, you manage all areas within the responsibility of factory planning, operational procurement, raw material supply, warehouse and internal logistics. You make sure that the material requirements from general demand and specific production plans are met in alignment with various internal and external stakeholders (e.g., vendors).

What are my responsibilities?

  • Within your area of responsibility support development of the plant towards a Zero Harm factory and ensure quality by encouraging a Zero Defect Culture
  • Within your area of responsibility ensure that signed projects are delivered on-time, create flexibility to meet customer demands and cooperate with regional and global functions
  • Ramp-up your team and related operational activities within the areas of factory planning, operational procurement, raw material supply, warehouse and internal logistics including hiring, training and development of the respective employees
  • Implementation and continuous improvement of all related SGRE processes and systems within the factory
  • Demand planning and definition of production plan in alignment with regional and global functions
  • Capacity analysis (supply chain and assembly line) in alignment with regional and global functions
  • Define and implement supply conditions and supply chain for local vendors according to global criteria
  • Issue delivery schedules and place orders to vendors according to production plan
  • Resolve roadblocks when required delivery schedules cannot be met
  • Create transparency on your performance and report to plant management
  • Manage and continuously improve your team and secure operational efficiency at minimal cost
  • Detect and implement cost reduction ideas within the supply chain

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • University degree in Engineering, economics or similar
  • At least 5 years of experience with similar responsibilities
  • Ideally, significant experience in manufacturing and assembly of heavy machinery, within the automotive industry or similar
  • MRP experience (implementation if possible) within SAP preferably.
  • Strong skills in fact based problem solving
  • Proactive, analytic, with cost focus
  • Proven track record of building effective teams
  • Strong ability to influence people from shop floor to top management
  • Significant experience in quality and safety leadership
  • Experience in international stakeholder management with the ability to navigate within a global and cross-functional organization including strong intercultural skills
  • Proven track record to support and maintain a culture ensuring trust, ownership and empowerment
  • You are fluent in English and Turkish both orally and in writing (Spanish language skills are an advantage)

It is an advantage but not a prerequisite that you possess detailed knowledge of the following areas:

  • Wind turbine, in particular nacelle development, assembly or service
